“We thoroughly enjoyed a recent visit to Ljubljana.  Here’s what we liked about it. It’s beautiful: the architecture is striking and the city is located along a river with the Julian Alps in the distance. The people are friendly, helpful and speak English.  They’re also hearty. We found them eating outdoors in cafes and pubs even in 40 degree temperatures. It’s a walking city.  You can reach most things that you want to see on foot. It’s also an easy city to visit.  You can drink the water and the currency is the Euro. Finally, it’s surrounded by interesting places to visit such as Lake Bled, Predjama Castle and the Postojna Caves. The only downside is the you have to learn to spell Ljubljana in order to tell your friends about it.”
